I was glad when they said unto me, Come into the House of the Lord!" Psalm. 122:1
Whether you've come for a special occasion, weekend worship, visiting for a few moments of reflection and spiritual comfort
or you're seeking a spiritual home for a few weeks, months or permanently, St Mary's welcomes you!
St. Mary's is a lively
faith community of people with diverse backgrounds and circumstances, whose spiritual journeys have come together
and are embraced in God's unconditional love and mercy. We do our best to live that love through contemporary Anglican worship,
fellowship community service and outreach, the study of Scripture,
pastoral care and by extending a warm welcome to you who are new to us.
Fellowship flourishes at St. Mary's. Be our guest for fellowship following the Eucharist in the Parish Life Center
after the 8 AM and 10 AM Eucharists. Foyer Groups meet regularly for meals and conversation.
Special events throughout the year such as parish picnic, Winterfest and St. Mary's Day celebrations
and St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals are listed in the bulletin, the newsletter and on our website www.stmarysbonita.org.
Visitor Cards can be found in the pews and in the narthex at the back of the church. Fill it out and we'll be able to
stay in touch by sending you various parish mailings, email invitations to liturgy and parish life activities
and programs like Bible Challenge, Wonderful Wednesdays, Family Pizza and Movie night, and more. Bring us your ideas, too.
Welcome Receptions bring newcomers and others considering a new spiritual home together with the clergy,
established parish members and the church's lay leadership. These are special opportunities for fellowship,
refreshment and getting to know more about you. You'll also learn about how St. Mary's traditions of worship
and the vitality of its parish life can enrich your life.
Worship at St. Mary's is offered throughout the week. Our Eucharist, celebrated 5 days each week,
is shaped around the rich liturgy and music of the Anglican tradition.
Morning and Evening Prayer are available three days a week and the Sanctuary is open for personal prayer every day.
A unique and varied schedule of other worship opportunities extends throughout the year with Choral Matins,
Evensong, Advent Lessons and Taize services. See all the regularly scheduled worship services on the Worship web page in this web site. Weekly bulletins, Tidings, regular parish e-mailings,
word of mouth, our Facebook page, and our website all keep you up to date.
Baby and Me is the space entered from the narthex where families with small children can see and hear the liturgy while
caring for the little ones. Tykes (up to 5 years) can join their peers in the nursery located in the Parish Life Center
and staffed by a licensed care provider with and assistant attending.
Kids Connection is for children ages 5 to 8. They gather at 10:00 AM in the Parish Life Center for Bible lessons
and Godly Play and participate in the 10 AM Sunday Eucharist to carry the Youth Cross or Sunday School banner.
St. Mary's Saints are the youth, ages 9 through 13, who gather for worship and fellowship and participate
in the main Eucharist on Sunday mornings as torchbearers and acolytes.
The Pastoral Care Team serves your pastoral care needs on many important levels. If you are sick or have a concern about yourself
or a loved one, navigate to the Pastoral Care web page and complete the online form there, or call the Church Office at 239-992-4343 and a clergyperson or member of the pastoral care team will contact you.
Volunteer/Lay Ministry opportunities offer a variety of ways for you to share you special gifts and talents with
St. Mary's. For more information on these opportunities, download a copy of our Life and Ministries booklet,
which contains detailed descriptions of each area of ministry as well as the contact points for the person responsible
for specific programs. One side of your visitor card allows you to indicate your interests so that the ministry or program
representative can contact you.
