T he Choir of St. Mary’s is made up of 30-plus members from Southwest Florida, spanning Ft. Myers to Naples, and attracts some of the area’s finest singers. The group sings at the weekly 10 am Choral Liturgy (October-May), as well as holidays and special services such as the Advent Procession/ Lessons and Carols, Choral Evensong and Solemn Choral Eucharist. Professional cantors provide musical leadership at other services. Concerts and recitals are held throughout the program year.
The choir upholds the rich tradition of Anglican choral music, as well as newer, classically-based choral repertoire. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings, September-May beginning at 7 pm. Special seasonal rehearsals are also called on occasion. The choral library holds the finest repertoire of Anglican choral music, including settings of Evening Services and Choral Masses.
It is Music Ministry's mission to uphold the highest standards of excellence in the musical arts. It is our vision to continue to build upon the rich musical tradition of the church and to spread its beauty to the greater community.
